The Aboriginal Elders Village, located in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, is a warm and culturally rich residential aged care home for Elders from across South Australia.
Aboriginal Elders Village
Welcome to Adelaide’s only residential aged care home caring specifically for First Nations peoples.
Our purpose is deeply rooted in community, culture and connection.
For more than 30 years, the Village has provided a safe and welcoming environment offering short-term respite and long-term residential care for up to 33 residents with low to high care needs in a supported and smoke-free environment.
Established to support Elders facing isolation, the Aboriginal Elders Village remains committed to honouring culture, identity and belonging. Elders are supported around the clock by qualified staff who deliver care that is respectful and responsive and grounded in the values and traditions of First Nations peoples.
Every aspect of daily life — from food and music to art and storytelling — reflects and celebrates First Nations culture, keeping Elders connected to culture, community and Country.
Our Residents
First Nations peoples aged more than 50 years are welcomed at the Aboriginal Elders Village for long-term and respite stays. We work closely with Elders and their loved ones to ensure care is tailored to their needs.
