Yesterday ACS held our first Yarning Group for Elders! This marked the beginning of our social programs in Adelaide for 2025, something that we are incredibly excited to roll out. The Yarning Group was an opportunity for community to catch up, and offered us great insight into what Elders would like to attend in the future.
The group started off with some fun conversation starters and introductions. Then we enjoyed some yummy morning tea complete with sandwiches, fruit, party pies and some cakes.
Donna, Jess and Cherie spoke to Elders about what they would like to attend in the future, and assisted them in reading the flyer we gave out to select the activities that peak their interest.
We were grateful to receive positive feedback, we were especially touched by Wendy’s feedback who wrote,
“I finally found my comfort zone.”
Another piece of feedback said
“Everything went really good! I want to come back again.”
We are so excited for the next event and will keep everyone updated on the itinerary.
