About you

You must be a registered nurse (RN) or an enrolled nurse (EN) and have relevant experience. You must possess unrestricted work rights in Australia and a full Driver’s License. Previous experience working with Aboriginal People will be highly regarded but is not essential. You must have a current National police check or be willing to obtain one. Responsibilities
  • Deliver person centred care that meets best practice standards and funding requirements to Elders in their home environment.
  • Provide high quality nursing services delivered within professional boundaries and scope of practice.
  • Provide high level nursing specific assessment, treatment planning, clinical care, monitoring and review to support Elders’ goals and outcomes.
  • Function as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, coordinating, promoting and maintaining professional relationships with all staff with the goal of optimising Elders’ outcomes across the continuum of care.
  • Provide and coordinate as required health management education and information related to nursing to community clients and the wider community as required.
  • Act as an advocate to clients, carers and families as required.
  • Convening and or participating in case conferences, discharge planning and family meetings as required.
  • Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with ACS procedures, best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate service related data collection is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure that client confidentiality is respected and upheld at all times.
  • Maintain competency in clinical procedures appropriate to all areas and within scope of practice.
  • Participate in professional education/study leave days as identified/requested and present feedback on key learning outcomes to the wider care team.
  • Support orientation processes of new staff within the Nursing team
  • Provide support to the Management regarding the operational requirements of the Nursing team as requested within scope of practice.
  • Participate in and support quality and continuous improvement activities both within the nursing team and the wider organisation.
  • Participate in and support activities to ensure accreditation and compliance are maintained within all areas of service provision.
  • Assist with preparation, adherence and monitoring of ACS Work Practices, guidelines and audits as required.
  • Participate in regular professional supervision.
What we offer
  • 38 hours per week available to be picked up by willing-incumbents.
  • $55.93/hr (EN) & $70.86/hr (RN)
  • Potential earning of $110K pa (EN) & $140K pa (RN) if incumbent picks up 38-hr p.w. shifts.
  • Free shared accommodation (including utilities).
  • $15,899 worth of salary packaging, and another $2,650 on meals entertainment & vacation accommodation via our salary sacrifice partner, potentially increasing your take home pay by $6,399 per annum.
